Weekly activities June 23-27

Make it Monday

Keeping with our letter of the week theme(A), I cut an apple in half and let it dry all day. Then she stamped with green paint.

Take a trip Tuesday

We went to Barnes and Noble for story time. She then played with the train table set up there. We then went to 3 different stores looking for beach items.

Wet and Wild Wednesday

SHe went to Nimmie's today and they got in the pool there.

Thinking Thursday

Library story time day. It was a black light puppet show!
Madison's shirt and Minnie's eyes and bow was glowing!

Fresh and Fun Friday

 I drew an acorn on paper and we painted some glue on.
Madison then sprinkled some potting soil on the top and bread crumbs on the bottom.

 

Zoo trip

She was more interested in chewing her finger than swinging.

 

It was hot. Thank goodness the playground was shaded!

All playgrounds should be shaded!

Overall, Madison didn't really enjoy the zoo. She wasn't real interested in the animals. Our purpose in going was to see about booking her party there. Glad we went for a test visit first! We took her on her 1st Birthday and she was a bit young to enjoy it. Maybe she will like it better in a couple of years.

Weekly activities- June 16-20

Make it Monday

 We didn't do anything this day. Alan's mom came and watched the girls a while and I ran some errands and did some shopping and then she took Madison to her house until bedtime.

Take a trip Tuesday

 I took them to a nearby playground. It was in the blazing heat at 12:30.
Madison kept saying it was too hot, so we didn't stay long.

Fail. Didn't do it.

Library story time day

Part  of our summer daily schedule is incorporating a letter a week into our day.
We started with the letter A late last week(and will roll it over into this week)
We did fingerprint Ants for a craft.

I don't do scary movies!

2. What is your favorite weird TV show you think no one else watches?

The only shows I watch are Jimmy Fallon, Hell's Kitchen, Pretty Little Liars, How I Met Your Mother, Lost and The Bachelorette. I don't think any of those are weird.

3. What is the song you can sing all the words to without any music?

Oh there's a ton of songs I can do this to!

 4. What is your favorite book to re-read?

I'm not a reader but I loved The Wedding.  

5. The one website you visit more times a day than others?

If my Facebook app counts, that one.

I started the series Pretty Little Liars this week. While I do enjoy it, something about the way they film it gives me a headache. It's like the lighting or quality or something is weird. It's a suspense show about a group of 5 high school girls. It has a lot of twists and turns so far. Anyone else watch it?

Trying to work on a daily schedule for Madison. Started today. Has seemed to help our day already.
Will blog about it later, once I figure out what works for us.

Weekly activities- June 9-13

Make Something Monday- I tried "fluffy stuff"(2 boxes corn starch and 1 bottle shave cream) but she had nothing to do with it. It felt really funny mixing it together and she was done! We added a little starch and a little cream at a time to try to mix better.

 So I took the rest of the shaving cream and food dye and we made bath paints. That, she loves!

Take a trip Tuesday- We met some friends at the local splash pad. Neither of the 2 year olds wanted much to do with it. It was taken over by much older kids that were running and splashing and all but pushing the girls out of the way. That night, Alan took her to our library for story/craft time and she got to play on the playground a few minutes.

Wet and Wild Wednesday-Since we did water on Tuesday, we didn't do it Wednesday. It also rained this day so we stayed inside.

Thinking Thursday- Library day! She wanted to read books instead of play.. I'm okay with that!

Fresh and Fun Friday-I woke up feeling sick again. Argh! We didn't do anything fresh or fun. We stayed home all day. This sinus bug is killing me.

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to the best Daddy in the world. Alan goes above and beyond for me and our girls. He comes home tired but helps me so much with playing with them, taking Madison to the park once or twice a week, and lots of other things!  Anyone that knows him knows how hands on and involved he is with them.  He's the perfect Daddy for these girls and we love him so much!

We've had a crazy past few days(and next few days) but were able to squeeze in a quick trip to the mountains this morning. We left around 10, stopped by a Mexican restaurant for lunch and then took Madison to a playground to play. We then went to Mast General Store for a few minutes before heading to QT for a Fathers' Day slushie and coming home. I ran out of the house without my camera and didn't get any with my phone either.. :( We hope he had a good day!

Happy Father's Day to our step-dads, my father in law and all the other dads out there! Love you all!

We ditched Satellite and got Roku. We are currently watching old series(Lost and How I Met Your Mother) The only current seasons shows I/we are watching is Hell's Kitchen, Parenthood, Bachelorette and Shark Tank

Sky dive, eat a rare steak, own a car after having an SUV, repel off anything.

My ID and phone are the only things I never leave without.

 Scary Mommy - I'm always forwarding articles to Alan. I've laughed and cried at most of them.
Loves Bakes Good Cakes - I just found her via a friend and she posts some YUMMY recipes! It's not all sweets either.

Weekly activities - June 2-7

Make it Monday- she painted toilet rolls and I cut them into a fish.

Take a trip Tuesday- we went to a magic show and story time at our library.

Wet and Wild Wednesday- water balloons!

Thinking Thursday- library, play and playground time!

Fresh and Fun Friday- We didn't do anything this day. Riley is going through a growth spurt and she had a bad day this day.

Happy 5 months, Riley!

Her personality has really come through this month. She smiles that huge smile. She laughs a lot. She's so ticklish! She 'talks' a lot! She's so sweet and lets Madison just crawl and love all over her!

Riley has had a time this month between getting her shots that messed her sleeping up for a week or so and then lately, she's hit what I assume is a growth spurt. Shes eating a ton, getting back up every 3 hours at night and is just all around grumpy. I hope she's back to normal soon!

-gave her oatmeal for the first time today. She loved it! We will probably give her 1-2 teaspoons a couple of times a day. 
-between 13-14 lbs
-size 2 diapers
-3-6 months and 6 months clothes
