A Montreat Wedding

Alan's youngest brother got married Saturday in beautiful Montreat, NC. It was our first time going but will not be our last! It's so beautiful! The rehearsal dinner and wedding were so beautiful. All the sweet words about William and Rachel were so sweet and emotional! Alan even got out on the dance floor with me to dance at the reception! Congrats you guys! Here's to a lifetime of happiness and memories!

Wedding fun!

Maybe too many drinks...

A HUGE thank you to my mom and stepdad for watching the girls most of the weekend. They stayed in the room next to us and kept the girls most of the time and of course the girls wanted to hang out with them while we were in our rooms and Madison even slept in there. We couldn't have done as much this weekend without the help and we are so thankful.

First day of preschool

I continued our tradition from last year and took the girls for a Chic Fil A lunch the day before school..

Riley's been teething so she has not been a happy camper....

First Day pics!

Immediately to the playdoh table..
sleepy eyes and dirty knees from the playground

Treats for the first day

First art of the year
In Riley's backpack..

They both had a really good day. Riley took a 3 hour nap and Madison was singing Jesus Loves Me, talking Spanish(though I'm not sure they started on the first day and playing very independent and using her imagination. It's amazing what a few hours of school does.

Alan's birthday adventures

After that, we headed toward the mountains. He wasn't real sure for a while what he wanted to do. We ended up going to Santa's Land in Cherokee, NC. It's a small amusement park and zoo for kids aged 2-5 basically.

Paddle boats

After we spent most of the day there, we went by the man made creek downtown and let the girls play for a while. I didn't get any pictures there. The girls were asleep within 10 minutes of being in the car :)
