Happy 11 months, Riley!

In her 10th month, she....

 Pulled up onto the stairs!
I walked to the garage and came back to this!

She lost her last pacifier at the mall and we decided not buy her anymore and to wean her from it. We were out pretty late that night so she was exhausted by the time she got home that she just passed out. The next day for nap, she pitched a fit! She cried a while and we got her up. I nursed her to comfort her and put her back down and she cried a bit more and then finally fell asleep. Today, the 2nd day, she didn't do great for her first nap. After a bit of crying, I thawed some frozen milk and fed her from a bottle(I'm weaning her nursing sessions) and she cried a few minutes and fell asleep. She is currently down for her 2nd nap and she's whining on and off. No major crying like before, yet.

That same night she lost her paci, we decided to pierce her ears! We had talked about it a while but we never did do it.. Here's a pic right after. All the purple is the marker. The earrings are clear crystals. She looks so different!

9-12 or 12 months clothes. Size 1 shoes. Size 3 diapers(size 4 at night) Not sure of her weight. I would guess around 17.5 lbs.

Bedtime by 7pm. Sleeps all night until anywhere between 7-8am. Wakes up and nurses. Snack(puffs, fruit,pretzels) at 9:30, naps 1-2 hours after snack.

We are busy planning her 1st Birthday party this year! It will be at our house on January 10. We can't decide what time yet but invites will be out before Christmas so be on the look out!

LOVES the cats and dogs. Loves crawling up to them and going "ah!"

Time to time, she will sit up and just stare in the camera monitor.. Creepy yet funny.

Riley is still a very content, laid back, happy, funny girl. She keeps this intrigued look on her face that people always comment on. She loves Madison with everything she has. She loves playing with her and I'm anxious for when she can walk and they can actually play around together. These 11 months have flown by quicker than any 11 months ever has. I can't believe she's almost a year old! We love you, sweet, beautiful girl!

Happy 9 months, Riley!

Starting crawling.. Scooting is more like it. She can get to where she wants, whatever you call it!

-wearing 9 months and some 12 months clothes. Size 3 diapers and size 4 at night.
-Sleeps all night from 7pm-7:30am
-Naps every 1.5/2 hours for 1-2 hours. (napping 30 minutes this week. Booooo)
-Says "mamama, byebyebye, dadadada and babababa". If she's eating and wants more, she says "mamama"
-Hasn't had a food she doesn't like. Eats like an adult, really.

How Riley rides most of the time so she can see Madison

Riley really is such a happy baby. She smiles constantly and at everyone she sees. She only cries when she's tired or hungry and that really is it. She loves Madison so much. She is a Mama's girl for right now. She's so laid back and likes to play on her own a lot. We love you, Riley!

Happy 8 months, Riley! (10 days late)

In her 7th month, she..

-started sitting up very well on her own
-is scooting on her tummy
-started saying 'mamamama' and 'baabaabaabaa'

-stayed in the nursery at church for the first time this month and did very well.

-6-9 and 9 month clothes
-size 3 diapers and 4 at night
-naps every 1.5-2 hours for 1 hour
-bedtime at 7pm and up 1-2 times(usually 4am and 6am) before I wake her at 8am.
-eats every 2-3 hours except at night.
-working on her pincher grasp/picking up small items, feeding herself small items like Puffs or Cheerios, clapping, waving 'bye bye', crawling, saying 'dada' and 'sissy'

Riley is really the sweetest, happiest baby there can be. She constantly smiles and laughs. She is very easy going and only cries or whines if she's hungry or tired. She will sit and play for a while on her own. She loves Madison so much and is constantly watching her, laughing at her or looking for her if she can't see her. The best thing is seeing Riley lean forward in her car seat to see Madison in the car. It's so funny! We are so blessed to be her parents. We love her so much!

Happy 7 months, Riley!

 

-Bed at 7pm. Up at 3 or 4am. Back to sleep and up again at 6 or 7am.
 Back to sleep then up for day around 9 or 10am. Hoping that 4am waking will stop soon.
She is up 1.5 hours and then naps 1-2 hours. She naps like this all day.

Sitting up for brief periods
Size 6 and 6-9 months clothes. Size 3 diapers(size 4 at night)
3 meals a day plus nursing 5-7 times in 24 hours.

Riley is seriously the easiest baby ever. She is so sweet and silly and good. She is so content sitting and playing on her own or riding in the car. She loves her sister so much! Time is flying by. Happy 7 months, Riley! We love you!

Happy 5 months, Riley!

Her personality has really come through this month. She smiles that huge smile. She laughs a lot. She's so ticklish! She 'talks' a lot! She's so sweet and lets Madison just crawl and love all over her!

Riley has had a time this month between getting her shots that messed her sleeping up for a week or so and then lately, she's hit what I assume is a growth spurt. Shes eating a ton, getting back up every 3 hours at night and is just all around grumpy. I hope she's back to normal soon!

-gave her oatmeal for the first time today. She loved it! We will probably give her 1-2 teaspoons a couple of times a day. 
-between 13-14 lbs
-size 2 diapers
-3-6 months and 6 months clothes
