Day in the Life linkup!

Alan & Crystal and Royal Proclaims

Thanks for joining in our very first linkup! Make sure to grab our button above and put it on your post and then link up below!

Here's my Day in the Life from this past Saturday..

8:45am- Madison got up around 7:30 and she came in our room to lay down. She played with her apps on the phone for a bit and then Alan gets her up and changes her diaper, gets her morning milk ready and I lay in the bed catching up on social media. He fixes his coffee and I finally get up and fix mine and start some bacon in the oven while he feeds the dogs and Madison plays with her stuffed animals. Alan runs the trash to the dump and Madison plays in her room. I cut Madison a peach up, give her yogurt melts but she insists on a food pack(orange and banana). I fill up the dog and cats water bowls and the first round of bacon is ready so I pull that out and put the second round in. Alan is back and him and M are playing. She loves when he pulls Barney and Mickey around the house on a towel and she chases him around laughing.

10am-  I fix myself a peanut butter wheat bagel and some bacon. Alan then goes to fix him a bacon and Swiss bagel. We eat while M watches Pet.TV. He starts the dishwasher, I get another cup of coffee and he takes M to the playroom to play while I put a load in the washer, clean her room, put up her laundry and paint her letter and clock-all while ITunes Radio plays(Muse radio)

1:30pm- I have gotten ready while Alan plays with M. I take her and our dog, Wilma outside for a few minutes while Alan cuts grass. We come inside and I give M a dose of meds and some honey (she's had a bad cough) since she will be napping soon. She eats her peach from this morning and I put her down for a nap. I fix myself an apple and boot the computer up while the tv is on. I print some recipes from Pinterest, pin a few things, update a few blog drafts and delete some pics from the computer and rearrange my picture folders. Alan comes in around 1, takes a shower and I get Madison up so we can leave for a birthday party .

7pm- We went to E's birthday party, Walmart, Lowes and are now home. It's Alan's bath night and he gives her one early. I take a shower while he does that. He gets her ready for bed and then he goes to take a shower. I fix her a plate of cheese and carrots and give her a food pack. She devours the pack and some cheese while watching Zou.

10pm- Madison went to bed by 7:30 and I had a bowl of cereal and Alan had a salad for supper. Neither of us were real hungry since we ate at E's birthday party. He starts the football game and I play on my phone until basically 10:00. Candy Crush, Pinterest, texting Royal, Instagram, Facebook and blogs. I book our maternity session with our photographer at a nearby strawberry/pumpkin farm for November during that time too. I am bored and tired so off to bed I go while he finishes the game. Goodnight!

Happy 25 months, Madison

Sorry I'm a day late!

-weighs 28.7 lbs and is almost 35" tall. Size 5 diaper. Size 5 shoes. 3T tops and 2T pants. Bedtime is by 8pm and I usually have to wake her at 8am for school. The weekends she gets up earlier, around 7 or 7:30-go figure. She naps for 2 hours around 1 or 2pm.

-loves school, food packs, yogurt raisins, frozen Gogurts, books, stickers, her new magna-doodle(below), Tec the tractor, Barney, playing outside, "Daddy's song"(Mio Mao cartoon)

-dislikes anything except food packs, Gogurts and yogurt raisins, sitting on the potty, getting her teeth brushed

-She counts from 1-10! I can't seem to catch this one on video though.

-She can say the alphabet from A-Z!

-Moved to toddler bed

Taking Barney on a ride

At M's birthday party

No fear, this girl...

Fall picture day at school

E's birthday party.

Happy girl

Sick girl

 "One more time, Daddy"

This has been a crazy learning month. Between counting and learning the alphabet, she comes home from school singing songs and talking about things that they've done at school. She's such a sponge and everyone that knows her says that. She's so funny, too! If something she does makes you laugh, she will keep doing it over and over! Sometimes I'm able to walk up on her at school without her seeing me and she's almost always the center of attention! Always in the middle of everyone showing them something or talking about something. She doesn't meet a stranger! She is becoming more and more of a Daddy's girl(if that's possible!) She wakes up and the first thing she normally says is "Daddy coming?" or if it's the weekend, she runs into the living room or bedroom if I get her up and she only wants him to hold her and it's all about him. It's so sweet but he can't get anything done! :)

Monday, May I..

Monday May I...

First, don't forget to do your Day in the Life post to linkup with Royal and I tomorrow! I initially did Thursday and then changed it to Saturday. I'm not sure I've ever done a weekend DITL post. You can start today or do tomorrow and link up later in the evening. Go here to see the post about the linkup.

Now, let's update last weeks goals!

-Spend no money other than gas and groceries. We have really had a lot going on the past week or two so it's time to settle down a bit and buckle up!
Fail. Fail. Fail. Trying to do better with our spending though.

-Watch a movie(Admission). This is a given. I rented one today(free redbox code!)  and didn't watch it yet so I will watch it while Madison is at school tomorrow.
Done! This one was easy since I already had the movie and Tuesday was rough. This movie was really good! I figured it would be but I actually cried at the end! Highly recommended!

-Catch up on my cleaning! My back is hurting pretty bad to only be 25 weeks pregnant and I'm staying really tired. That means I would rather sit/lay down than do just about anything else. Alan is a huge help but things need to be done so he doesn't have to do them after working all day.
A work in progress still. I did get a good bit done on Tuesday. If I can just keep the floors/counters clean and the laundry caught up, I'd feel much better!

Now this week's goals!

-Manage my time better. With Madison, while she's at school, etc.
-Print some recipes from Pinterest and organize mine and Madison's recipe folder.
-Exercise!

October Mom challenge a day

I saw this on iMOM and thought it'd be something great to try :) This site has great printables and challenges that I will be using and printing and possibly blogging about! It's a tad hard to see so I've typed the daily challenges out below. I know it's only a 30 day challenge and October has 31 days so I added the last one. Who needs a daily reminder to do stuff for/with your child? A 6 month pregnant mom of a 2 year old that likes testing me, that's who :) Some of these are for older kids but we will improvise with something else. I will try to update on how it went in November. I know I'm posting this 4 days late, so if you want to join in, start on Day 4.

Day 1- Ask "What is one thing we can do together this month?"
Day 2- Go the whole day without yelling
Day 3- Hug your child three times today
Day 4-Kiss your children while they are asleep
Day 5- Say to yourself  "He's only ___ years old. He's still a child." Then treat him that way.
Day 6- Bake, make or buy them their favorite food.
Day 7- Leave a sweet note for them
Day 8- Calculate how many weekends are left until your child graduates from high school.
Day 9- Picture yourself at your child's age. Remember how you felt.
Day 10- Today's mom focus: Joy
Day 11- Tell your child "I'm so glad you are my son/daughter"
Day 12- Pray for wisdom
Day 13- Do not criticize your child today.
Day 14- Remember; being a mother is a gift
Day 15- Be firm when needed, but not harsh.
Day 16- Picture your child at age 25. Mother with that in mind today
Day 17- Laugh with your child today
Day 18- Who is a mom you admire? What quality of hers can you live out today?
Day 19- Teach your child one thing he can do on his own.
Day 20- Today's focus: Patience
Day 21- Forgive yourself when you mess up
Day 22- How do you want your child to remember you? Be that mom today.
Day 23- Replace sarcasm with kindness
Day 24- Do not interrupt your child when he/she is talking
Day 25- Ask for your child's opinoins
Day 26- Encourage your child today
Day 27- Do one thing that is good for your health.
Day 28- Teach your child a new word
Day 29- Turn off your phone, computer or TV when your child is with you
Day 30- Today's focus: Love
Day 31- Go to lunch or some type of fun outing, just you two.

In October I will

A short and to the point list. Nothing major, except the 4th one.

-do a fall craft with Madison

-bake something with her that she will actually eat.

-decorate for Fall

-figure out Riley's middle name. We have agreed to one but in favoring another that Alan's not on board with.

-get Riley a mattress  and crib sheet and try to get her room figured out!

-exercise!

-Do some form of activity with our church.

What are your goals for October?

Hosting a linkup with Royal Proclaims!

We wanted to host a linkup and tried brainstorming what we could do. We came up with doing A Day in the Life post. Basically, just blog about what you do that day from the time you get up until bedtime. Pick whatever day you want to do and we will post the linkup on Tuesday, October 8! You can do from today until that day or just do one day. I'm doing just one day because my days are generally pretty insane. I hope you join us! If you want to see one of my old Days, go here.

26 weeks pregnant with Riley

Date: October 2

How far along - 26 weeks

Growing Baby- She's still growing in the 13.6- to 14.8-inch and 1.5- to 2.5-pound range, and developing her senses, features and talents! Her eyes are forming, and will soon start to open. Her eyelashes are now grown, too. She's getting her immune system ready for life on the outside by soaking up your antibodies. She's taking breaths, too. They're of amniotic fluid, not air, but it's still good practice.

How big is your baby?
Symptoms-serious heartburn. Back and feet hurting. Feet swelling. Staying really tired again. Braxton Hicks.

Weight- 120lbs

Total weight gain/loss: +7 lbs

Belly measures- 34.5"

Craving-  I feel like I am craving something sometimes but I can never figure it out! I had a serious craving last night like I knew I wanted something but I couldn't figure it out so I had a banana and peanut butter.

Bought- nothing for Riley but Alan got new ties, coats and dress shirts for church, I got a pair of shoes, some maternity shirts and some undergarments and Madison got some new pajamas, shoes, a dress and a new shirt.

Done- deleted some things off our registry that Madison passed down to her like her breathable bumper and a nursing cover since I found a brand new one at a consignment shop. Took and barely passed my glucose test. I am also now on Iron pills. Yay. We also booked our Christmas Tree trip cabin. Looking forward to that!

Looking forward to
-  Meeting with the associate pastor to go over Madison's baptism, Madison's friend, E's party, a music event and supper at church, the fair and taking Madison's old clothes to consign and donating all of the Summer clothes that are left that are out of season for Riley. Busy week!

Other thoughts- I have 14 weeks to go. FOURTEEN! That's insane. I really need to start walking again but my back hurts so bad. I can hardly breathe these days. The last thing I want to do is exercise but I know I need to.
