New Years Atlanta trip

Alan, myself and Alan's childhood friend, Brad, went to Atlanta for the USC/Florida State game on New Years Eve. They got tickets to the game and my plan was to not do much at the hotel until they got back after the game, then we would go do something for NYE. Sadly, I didn't bring my camera. Lesson learned.. never go anywhere without camera. We checked into our room.. the 35th floor, might I add? Sorry for Brad's reflection in the window. We could see Turner Field(Braves stadium) and the airport from our room. The State building is the little gold dome on the right.

I did get a ticket to the Fan Fest before the game. This is a big event where you can play games, buy stuff, get your face painted, enter to win stuff and they had a parade with the players too, which we didn't stick around to watch. It was okay. The boys had fun, as seen below. This picture is hilarious of Alan. He was throwing footballs into these holes and this was the end result..... Looks like he's shooting basketball.

Sadly, the Gamecocks lost and the boys weren't very thrilled. We just went down to the bar in the hotel, watched the countdown on tv while they drown their sorrows in many cervezas, shrimp and artichoke dip. I think we were all in bed by 12:30, after me and Brad fought over the air temperature and he picked on me about planes crashing through the room. We all had a good time and it was nice to hang out with Brad. He's become a Yankee now living in New Hampshire, so we don't see him much. :) Here's a picture of us shortly after midnight. I've never been so glad to see a year gone and another year come! I'm looking forward to 2011!
