Margaret-Sad but really kind of stressful! The lead actor is very emotional.

The Five Year Engagement - pretty boring.

Batman Dark Knight Rises - good
The Amazing Spiderman -Pretty good! I liked this one the most of them all.
Battleship-decent
Taken 2- pretty good. The 2nd movies are never as good as the first but it was good and it left the end open to have a 3rd.

We actually went to the movies for our Valentine's date and we saw Identity Thief. It was pretty funny. I love Melissa McCarthy.

Random facts about us

I posted on Facebook for suggestions on some posts since I've hit a bad writers block! My friend Lauren over at XOGingersnapps gave me a list of questions and I thought it'd be fun to do. Thanks Lauren! :)

I guess since most of our readers are family or close friends, I never thought about answering these.
Here's her list :

Why did you start blogging?
Our family is spread all over the place. I thought it'd give those that we don't see or talk to everyday a peek into our world. I started this blog in April of 2010. When we had Madison in 2011, I started blogging more and more about her. Who cares about the parents when there's a sweet baby girl in the family now?! :) It also gives her grandparents a way to see what all she is doing and learning. See my very first blog post here.

How did you and your husband meet?
We used to work together.

What are you passionate about?
Sadly nothing other than Madison and Alan. I would love to have some sort of a hobby but I can't find the time. When Madison goes to bed, I'm ready to rest(or workout on workout nights) This blog is about the only non-human/pet thing I do on a regular basis.

Favorite movie?
I laugh my butt off at Bridesmaids anytime it's on. I swear it gets funnier and funnier! I also love While You Were Sleeping, The Notebook, and Wizard of Oz.

Favorite book?
I am a huge Nicholas Sparks fan but I'm not much of a reader, so I've watched more of his books turned into movies than read the actual book. My all time favorite is The Wedding. I actually did read that one.

What do you love about your husband?
He is the most caring, sweet, hard working, religious, funny person I know. He has such a tender heart and he's the best father! He's so hands on and never complains about me doing things and leaving him and M together. Madison loves when her daddy is around. She wants him to hold her constantly. He loves taking her on adventures. He has always supported me emotionally being a stay at home mom. I struggle from time to time with not helping financially for us but he always insists that I am a huge help and he would have it no other way as long as we can do it. He is a huge support and while I don't always act like it, I never take him for granted. He is the best and I know all of my roads led me straight to him and I have no doubt that everything happens for a reason!

What is one of your biggest dreams? 
Now that I've found the perfect man and we have the child we prayed for, I would love to have a vacation house in the mountains! While it seems impossible to have at this point in our life, maybe one day! A girl can dream, right?

What holds you back from telling more people about God?
I am surrounded by Christian people who could recite the Bible word for word, so I have never been asked nor had the opportunity to tell people what I know because they know more than I do.

What movies do you recommend we put on our list?

Movies watched lately.

I've had a pretty good movie kick lately but Alan, not so much. We don't go to the movie theater but we do have Netflix. No movie is worth roughly $45(tickets/popcorn/drink), plus if we do date night, I'd rather actually talk to my husband instead of sitting in an annoying theater watching a potentially horrible movie.

Madea's Witness Protection - I love Tyler Perry but this one started out slow for me. I didn't even finish it.

Think Like a Man - I turned this one off too. I'm sure it is funny.

October Baby - SO good. I mean I cried my eyes out. Good from the beginning to end. Recommend!

A Little Bit of Heaven - Another great tear jerker! Kate Hudson is lead and I love her anyway. A bit sad..

Fireflies in the Garden- Pretty slow. Pretty sad but okay.

Alan's list

Mission Impossible: Ghost Patrol - decent. 3 out of 5 stars.

Hatfields and McCoys: Bad Blood - Not good

Grown up things

I'm going to try to write more about what Alan and I are doing. Madison is so darn cute, plus she's involved in just about everything we do, so it's hard for her to not take over this blog. Random order but here we go:

I'm so ready for our annual Christmas tree trip to the mountains. Madison was only 2 months old last year. Seriously, look how tiny she was, and how tired I looked, and how long my hair was.. Geez :(

It was freezing and the wind was blowing crazy on that mountain! This was the first year we didn't go to the same tree farm in 7 years! Our usual farm was pretty bare the day we went last year and we lucked up on this one. I think it will be our normal farm from now on. We have booked a nice cabin and we are ready to go!

oh yeah.. Supposed to be a post not about Madison... This will be hard.

Hunger Games(also enjoyed by Crystal) -really strange and pretty controversial as kids are killing kids but we both liked it.

Mirror Mirror - so bad I turned off

Wanderlust  - turned off also

What to Expect When You're Expecting -so funny! Especially if you are a mom/pregnant or trying to get pregnant.

Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close - very good and very emotional! Not a girlie movie at all.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall- Very funny. Could be quite offensive. Very R rated.

Friends with Kids - hilarious! Great cast! A must see if you have young kids or if you have friends with kids and you don't have kids.

One for the Money- Pretty good!

A Thousand Words - Horrible. Turned off and rated 1 star.

New Years Eve - Really good

The Vow - So sweet. Seems like a Nicholas Sparks movie.

What's Your Number? May have questionable subject but I thought it was cute.

As far as tv goes, Alan doesn't watch much tv. He has gotten interested in the series Last Resort. He also watches Dallas, The Office and football.

Crystal records too much. Young and the Restless, Rachael Ray(depending on the recipes/guest), The Talk (only watch the discussion part unless a good guest is on), Ellen (depending on the guests), Cupcake Wars, Shark Tank, Breaking Amish(so sad it's over :( ), Long Island Medium, Auction Kings, The Real World, Pioneer Woman, Trisha's Southern Kitchen, Duck Dynasty (love!), Great Food Truck Race, Up All Night, Giuliana and Bill, Undercover Boss and SNL(depending on the host/musical guest). Some of these are on season break right now and yes, some weeks I have about 4 episodes of each show and I have to weed through them cause I don't have the time to watch them! Some of them are background noise while I do things around the house, while she's napping or if she's playing in the floor, and a lot of them I just fast forward through.

We both watch Modern Family.

We have Christmas pictures coming up next week. We are doing them at a local park. Trying to figure out what all of us will wear.. 

My sweet Micki's 10th birthday is tomorrow. I got her when she was 9 months old. This dog has been through the worst. Tragically losing a leg when she was a year old, having heartworms(and getting rid of them through the  and her back right foot's tendons got sliced a couple years ago after stepping on a broken mug in the grass, while on a walk one day. She is still super happy and still loves to swim. Her bark is crazy annoying but I can't imagine not having her around. She's been through some of my happiest and saddest times. Happy Birthday Micki!
