Five on Friday

(one) Madison went to her very first Vacation Bible School this week. She says she had fun and already misses her friends(last day was yesterday)

(two) Finally got the weed mat and mulch put down in front of the whole front of the house. Transplanted some flowers and trimmed bushes. This has been a month(or longer) long project but finally got it done. Over the next couple of months we will get the sides of the house done and a rock border added to the left/front and left sides of the house to match the front and right sides.

Our hydrangea is finally blooming after having it 7 or 8 years! It's purple!

Will add a border on the inside of the driveway at the mulch

(three) This coming week, I have big plans to finish off some things on our to-do list! There are currently 16 things on there and I've highlighted 4 of them. This list is ongoing. I am hoping to knock out another 3 or 4 by next weekend. This includes finishing the deck stain, rearranging the deck furniture and working on the girls' baby books and yearly photo books. Being productive after the girls go the bed is really hard when all I want to do is lay down and watch tv :|

(four) Looking forward to a 5 night vacation soon. Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, which includes a day at Dollywood and a day at Splash Country! This area has quickly become our favorite vacation spot with the kids. So many day activities to do. We go for 8 nights later in the year!

(five) This Summer has really flown by so far! The girls have been out of school for 3 weeks already. They are finally at the ages where they will play together! Riley is starting to pretend play and her and Madison will chatter and play in their house or kitchen for a good hour or so. Potty training is going great! Riley is doing really well with it! A few accidents here and there(while she's playing or at night) but she pretty much has it down! She does refuse to sit on a 'big' potty so we have to get that worked out before vacation! We may be that parent that carries the little potty into the parks. No shame, though!
